Meanwhile, Hawaii’s luxury real estate marketplace stayed scorching hot as 2021 drew to a close, with buyers from the mainland and across the world continuing to clamor for any and all inventory here in the Aloha State. With inventory remaining scarce overall, 2021 saw a record-high median sales price on Maui—over one million dollars! —multiple times throughout the year, with selling prices rising over 50%, according to some reports.
